What are we waiting for?

I had a really good talk with an elderly woman the other day that I had to share with you. It really hit home for me.
This woman, now in her mid-80′s, was telling me stories about her life. She was telling me about her family, the career she once had, her talents and all about her dreams that she hoped to accomplish “someday”.
Being in the business that I’m in, my typical response would be to motivate her to get up and to follow her dreams. But, the reality for her was she could not leave the nursing home, she couldn’t walk, she didn’t have any living relatives left and she had no income. She had already come to the conclusion that this was as good as it could get for her, and, sadly, she may be right. She may have missed her opportunity to follow her dreams when she had the chance.
We all have dreams and most of us put them on the back burner thinking we will get to them “someday”. But, what are we waiting for? Life is busy, but it will ALWAYS be busy so start following your dreams now while you have the energy, the means and the ability. Do it now before it’s too late! We get one life to live here on Earth so time is of the essence to do something meaningful with our lives.
